When we think about self-improvement we often focus on what we want less of. Less weight, less stress, less pain, less stuff. While those may be healthy goals, it’s unlikely we’ll achieve them without paying attention to what we need more of. What we focus on often increases.

This week, use your time on the mat to become a bigger vessel. Start your day with a practice full of backbends to release tension in the chest and shoulders, allowing yourself to be a bigger vessel for your breath.

As your practice, let your mind to return to this intention, continually asking what else you need to be a bigger vessel for. May your yoga practice always mold you into a bigger vessel for love, compassion and ease.
