Hello! I’m Jennifer Hoffman. Here in my corner of the Internet you can call me Jen!
I’m so happy you’re here! This blog serves two important purposes: It’s a reminder for myself to live a life of intention and a resource for others who want to live wholly and healthfully with every breath!
My life has been far from predictable, but the Lord has truly been faithful to me in every step.
I met my husband Derek in the romantic world of public accounting. Shortly after our wedding, we opened a martial arts and yoga studio and worked way too many hours every week for over 7 years before starting a family together.
Our family now consists of our daughter, AE, son, LM, and furry kids, Fenway and Lia. We currently call Northern Virginia home. We practice attachment parenting – everything from baby-wearing and co-sleeping to breastfeeding and child-led weaning – because it works for us. We also practice positive discipline, and are currently planning to homeschool our kids. They are still a few years from formal schooling, though, and we all know how the best laid plans can go.
You can’t visit here long without discovering my love of yoga! I am a certified yoga teacher at the ERYT-500 level with Yoga Alliance. I am a member of the International Association of Yoga Therapists and a certified Restorative Yoga Teacher. I have a passion for anatomy, kinesiology and physiology. I study, practice, teach and therapeutically apply alignment-based hatha yoga. While we no longer have our brick and mortar studio, I continue to teach via my Virtual Yoga Studio right here on this website. I hope you’ll take a class with me sometime and find your inner yogi, too!
I also love asking the people who inspire me most how they live lives of Intention and Purpose. In each episode of the Intentional Chatter podcast, I invite you to meet one of my Intentional Heroes – friends from the blogosphere and beyond – as we unpack the stories and the secrets of an Intentional Life.
I’m passionate about living life with intention and believe that every moment holds the power to change the next. Read more about my “Intentions” here.
One final note: It is my fervent hope this will be a safe place to learn from each other, regardless of the labels we use to describe ourselves. Read. Agree. Disagree. Comment. Discuss. Share. It’s safe here. While we may disagree, I know I am better than no one. Thanks for joining me!
